The Commission on the Status of Women is comprised of women and girls from all over the County of San Mateo. These citizens are volunteers who are committed to helping our community and make a difference for all women and girls in the County.
Being a member of the Commission on the Status of Women is only one aspect of what they do and how they contribute in making the community a better place. Many are motivated by altruistic values and many seek social justice. Many see service on the Commission as a way to give voice to women and participate in the democratic process though in an advisory capacity.
The CSW Spotlight is simply a way to learn more about our Commissioners outside of the work they do on the Commission.
